The Meteor Shard Showcase is a collecting quest that starts July 28, 2015 and lasts until August 18th, 2015. During the meteor shower, some of the meteorites have managed to survive their trip through the atmosphere and landed in Farmville. Walter asks if you could help him collect these meteorites.
Building[]
The player must first place the unbuilt showcase, which is free. They are then taken to the build screen. The materials are:
- 6 Meteor Shard Holders (Post)
- 6 Padlocks (Ask)
- 6 Wooden Planks (Ask)
Amount of materials may vary. Each item can be bought for 2
Farmbucks each.
After all materials are gathered, at least 2 Neighbors are needed to complete the building. One it is finished, players will be able to access the quest's main menu in order to view the number of meteorites collected, craft meteorites, and redeem meteorites for prizes. Meteorites can be collected before the building is finished, but the stand needs to be complete in order to use them.
The Quest[]
The player must collect meteorites and redeem them for prizes. Meteors are found while harvesting crops, and they will generate from both land and water fields and plots. They have a higher chance of appearing if the crops are fertilized. Players can only collect meteorites from their own farm; meteorites will not generate if they harvest crops on a neighbor's farm.
In addition, players can also craft shards using two recipes in the Workshop:
- Two Shard Satchels: 6
Wool + 2 Stitch Holders (Ask/Buy for 2)) - Three Shard Sacks: 4 Rope + 3 Synthetic Fibre (Post/Buy for 3))
There are four different prizes that players can redeem shards for:
- Meteor Lamp - 50 shards (Buy for 23)
- Set of Meteor Pavers (x5) - 100 shards (Buy for 41)
- Big-Leaf Mahogany Tree - 150 shards (Buy for 72)
- Goodie Bag - 200 shards (Buy for 90)
After buying all four prizes, players are rewarded with the grand prize, a baby Silver Wood Duck and 10 
Favors.
